Sekula, bro, we've been having meets at that parking lot since 2000 via MWIR meets. We ALWAYS got kicked out when we had a decent crowd (we used to have upwards of 70 cars coming out) and this was on WEDNESDAY nights, still got booted, its private property. The building's security guard would call the police on us. Nothing new..

 

this is very true!... like i said before, if you and your friends wanna meet up there.. thats cool but for the rest of the people who are tired of reading through all this crap there is an alternative... o yea, hope you like those headlights

 

o well josh told me they have dsm meets always there and never had problems so far, so maybe they like dsm's and not evo's, i dont know?, if we get kicked out, we might stop by fudruckers, but since you guys are goin there so early, dont know if you guys will still be there around 9....we'll see though....

 

one, this thread once more, is for us who know eachother and have got to know eachother and we can talk about whatever in here, everyone has started to meet eachother and its a place where you can discuss anything, and at the same time bring up info about meets, good for you that you started a thread only for a meet, that is very helpful!

On talk we have 250pages, its very similar to this except all close dsm friends....Here, people wish to keep it a little more civil and organized and I respect that, things work differently here

FOR THE OG EVO OWNERS:
--- I understand the annoyance of sorting thru the thread for info and wanting to avoid being kicked out, but this meet was started to as a DSM meet, and transferred over here...

I was hoping to KEEP it as a DSM/EVO meet....The hooters parking lot was our idea b/c personally in the last year, we have had countless dsm meets in the lot with no hassle from police or security.

Because of the hype we have started for this meet, there is a huge following for it on many different forums....If you would like to keep your meet strictly Evo, all power to you go ahead, but most of my dsm buddies and people I have informed about the meet were psyched about the big attendance with Both dsm's AND evo's...

If there IS an official change in location, do you think we could have a change in time>?

We planned the original meet to take place at 9pm, this way there would be less traffic, less problems with taking spots and causing commotion because the restaurants weren't at their busiest hours, and MORE time for chicago/city/north suburb area guys to come out and make it before everyone left...

Let me know guys, I will gladly inform ALL of the DSM'rs and other forums this is posted on about the change if this is a change for the better....Personally, I have had lots of experience at Hooters and no real trouble with big attendance meets, but I will trust and respect your opinions as well

We're thinking 7pm because of those who actually want to eat, we won't be planning on leaving for the cruise and whatnot till at least 9:30-10ish -leaving plenty of time for those who want to show, to show. Our meet at Fudruckers isn't meant STRICTLY for Evo's at all, its an open invite to whomever would like to show. Feel free to come!

 

Kunizzzzzeeee said it best... we are starting at 7 because evo owners drive slow so people wont start getting their till about 7:30-8 and then a group of us will go in and eat... we will be there for a WHILE and everyone is invited to join in as long as they dont do stupid crap.. just talked to Sergio the manager and he has set aside the back lot for our meet... and our seating will be right next to the windows so we can check out the cars while eating too ...

Hopefully I get the word out fast enough, most people already planned for the other location, but the following now seems to be for the fudruckers location....

Cool! now that we've got all that settled, great, thanks josh! So now i guess the 2 meets are gonna be one, so wow, LOTS of people are gonna be there, is the lot big enough?? Glad we got this all sorted out and we'll all meet up at one organized place, I think we're gonna need to thank the manager Sergio lol
so does anyone actually know the address of the restaurant so people can mapquest it for directions??
