nobody can void your warrantee because of an exhaust, they have to prove an exhaust caused the 5th gear grind. As long as your downpipe clears the ACD and everything is bolted up fine, no rattles, etc, you should have zero issues.

bottom line is that mitsubishi's new policy is NO MODS. search the forums for this thread but it's the rules that the dealerships have to follow now. but, if you want to get some good service, then don't waste your time with max madsen. i've had bad experiences with them. i bought my car from schaumburg and i've had nothing but great experiences there. good luck, but i think you'd just be better off to switch to stock.
