Chicago DUI EVO IX crash kills 2
Alcohol..high speed..no seatbelts..loosing control... no wonder why I pay $68 full coverage a month for a $49k BMW instead of $100 a month for a Evo.
We are self destructing ourselves with the rates. We are giving the cops the chance to harrass us more and be a victim of profiling if we keep acting like this.
I don't want to see people dead but for god sake how difficult is to put your seatbelt on?, how about moderation with the alcohol while driving

its because their body is relaxed or something like that
From what I understand, if you fall/crash/whatever, you're more likely to get hurt by tensing up than by just taking it as it goes.
A friend of the family is legally blind, and he walked off the edge of his roof one day. He didn't really get hurt because he wasn't tensed up like most people. (not as hurt as many get)

You should not have to "learn" a lesson. Is it any big mystery that if you drive drunk bad things will happen? Hopefully this "lesson" will be the driver's last. It was his passenger's last lesson...don't get in a car with a drunk.

Not to thread Jack, but what is a blind (legally blind) person doing on a roof in the first place?
No
You are completely wrong. If you think about where you are going and how you are getting home before you drink this will never be a problem.
2 dead in Edens crash; driver may be charged
Tribune staff report
July 23, 2007
Prosecutors were considering charges against a driver whose two passengers died after a single-car crash that closed down the Edens Expressway early Sunday, police said.
Justine Stevens, 22, of the 400 block of East Lake Avenue in Glenview and Joseph Thomas, 23, of the 6600 block of West Imlay Street in Chicago died of injuries from the 2:15 a.m. crash, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. Neither was wearing a seat belt, said Illinois State Police Master Sgt. Russell Gann.
The driver of a Mitsubishi was speeding north on Interstate Highway 94 south of Wilson Avenue when he tried to move from the left lane into the center lane and noticed another vehicle had moved into that lane ahead of him, Gann said. The driver braked while trying to avoid the other vehicle, causing the Mitsubishi to spin out. The car's passenger side then slammed into the highway median, Gann said.
The driver, who was wearing his seat belt, was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Gann said. Information about his condition was not available.
The driver was cited with minor traffic violations, but further charges were pending, including ones related to his blood-alcohol content being just above the legal limit, Gann said.
After the crash, several lanes of the northbound Edens were closed until after 6 a.m., Gann said.
