finally, got around to scheduling my appt with AMS to get tuned!
finally, AMS tuned!!! on the AEM
as some of you from indiana know, between being busy and being lazy... i finally reassembled the evo and got it to start a couple and idle a couple of times. called AMS and they are going to get their hands on it to tune it later in march.
still running a stock turbo, for now, with plans of an AMS 35 or 37 kit in the future.
built engine
Ferrea 1mm over in/ex valve
ferrea valve springs, retianers, etc
custom bronze valve guides
hks 272 cams (for now, will probably switch to jun's when new turbo goes in)
AMS intake manifold
BBK 75mm TB
AMS balance shaft elim kit
perrin crank pulley
wiseco .040 over pistons
pauter rods
balanced/blueprinted set bottom end
mild port/polish on the head
greddy timing belt
HKS cam gears
turbo xs manual boost controller
pt 680 intectors
walboro 255lph pump
AMS I/C
AMS lower pipe
custom upper (may see if AMS can make me a nicer one while i am there)
AMS small battery kit
AMS fuel rail
exedy twinplate
AMS motor mount inserts all around
DC sports 3" DP (no cat)
Greddy Ti 80mm exaust
may be other crap i can't remember right now. several other items not engine related on the car as well
will be tuned with AEM and will only run leaded race fuel (a local gas station has it, not the best in the world but not bad)
been building the car with top of the line stuff for the most part, taking my time and doing it right.
I know it won't be the fastest in the world, but otta be pretty good for a stock turbo. hoping for 380whp or so for now and i will be plenty happy till the new turbo goes in.
of course a new kink has been thrown into my plans,
this evo will be paid off in a couple of months and i am contemplating buying an evoX and do some basic bolt ons for my daily car! would slow completion of the 05, but would be a fun daily car

i am in greenwood, just south of indy...
went out to AMS last friday, of course it had to snow and be a pain in the butt getting around, but luckily it eased up for me to head home.
on a happier note, everything seemed ok with the new engine etc and they seemed to think i did a good job putting it back together.
