i know a guy selling a 03 evo 8 and was wondering what this set up would put down and if it was reliable. he says its 500+hp and 10 sec car. does that sound right?

it is very likely to be 500+but that all depends on who tuned it

ten second timeslip could definitely be achieved with that mod list...I see no mention of a clutch upgrade though although I am assuming you just forgot it

 

however...in my opinion anything over 350 whp you are making a fairly large sacrifice in reliability

I'm sure you could daily drive it but I don't think you'd want to depend on the car

more power = more things that break

 

car has act heady duty clutch. 39k miles and 500 since the rebuild.

 

A car with those mods has been used. It has had its fair shair oh launches and high speed drives. If you get it don't be surprised when the TC goes out. TC's in 03 are pretty *****y. And when you get into that much HP when things go wrong it cost $$

 

your askin to buy a problem.. but hey if u test drive it a few times and it all seems well its your money do what you want. with those mods though yes 500hp is very easy and so are 10's. I got a 30r kit with half of that **** and im gettin 450hp/440tq

 

Sure, it could, but why would you bother asking us instead of having the car dyno'd and have the owner show you his 10-sec timeslip. It does not matter what a list of mods is capable of...it only matters what the car does and has done.

If the car can trap 125, it "can" run 10's on a perfect run.

 

sounds like itll make for one huge headache if it breaks, +1 on the over 500hp deal.

 

Looks like it could make that power. I know its been mentioned b4 but hope that guy has a built tranny w/ a built tc and diffs... If not you can expect those to go first with that kind of power...
