schaumburg mitsu question
Bought my cars there but will never go there again. The service manager will get punched by me next time I see him.
On a funny side note, when my car had its 1k inspection, the customer gets a survey to fill out about his/hers experience at the shop. They filled out the survey for me (without asking me) and left a copy of it in my glove compartment.

That's not uncommon for the car dealerships to do, My first oil change and detail was free if I brought the customer survey in to fill out at Max Madsen in Aurora.
Anyways, warranty work is always a toss up. It's not always 100% up to the dealership to make warranty calls, and I'd imagine they can get into trouble warrantying vehicles which shouldn't have been. Of course the easiest way to not have trouble with your warranties is to stay stock.

+1 I have several mods and they never say a word about them. Their service is excellent. They only have 2 "official" Evo mechanics. They will always let you come out to the car and explain any questions. Def. recommend
Schaumburg Mitsubishi....The worst service department I have ever been too. They should actually be renamed the no-service center. It's unfortunate because my sales experience with Jason and Chris was very good. I took my brand new car in (has 2500 miles on it) because of a rattle coming from the front of the car. They couldn't replicate the sound (I doubt they even tried because it's very easy to replicate), would not give me the opportunity to drive in the car with them to help them hear the sound, and then threatened me by saying that my cat-back exhaust voids my entire warranty anyway! Anyone who know's anything about cat-back exhaust knows that a warranty is not voided because of that alone. More importantly, how can you make such a bold statement when you haven't even heard the sound and diagnosed the problem?! I will steer clear of this no-service center and would encourage any other Mitsu owner to do the same.
