Dealer Question?

Just a couple of Evo Newb questions for you NW people;

1) Which NW dealer do you guys like do deal with for the factory service/warranty issues (Walker, Auburn, Belleview, other)?

2) Have any of you had any problems with these dealers due to your car seeing a trackday (not timed of course)?

Thanks for the patience with me, can't wait for the MR to get here...

Greg

Bellevue Mitsu WAS the best place to get your service but they are no longer in business. Walker's service dept are a bunch of crooks who would rather look for reasons to void your warranty (mods, driver style, racing) rather than service your car. I'd avoid them unless they are your last resort. Don't have experience with other dealers.

thanks man, seperate question, what do you think of the Vishnu kit? I was thinking of doing one in a couple of years (once the warranty is out). Is it worth the coin? Did it adversely affect the everyday drivability?

Any of you southenders ever deal with Auburn Valley or Fife Mitsu?

Do it. Stock driveability with 75-100 more hp.

I got my Evo from Korum Mitsubishi in Puyallup, they are pretty nice and they have not given me any problems about my HKS RS Intake, but I also haven't broken anything. They aren't the speediest, but they get the job done.

No Evo owner but I'll Agree about Korum they are teh absolute best in my mind. Not saying others aren't good or possibly better just in my little corner of the world Korum rules!

I had a (brief) chat with one of the sales guys from KarMart (Mt Vernon/Burlington area)

He saw my girlfriend and I drive up and get out and immediately head over to the dark grey MR that they have on the lot (the only MR among 10 or 12 Evos) and I think he was seeing dollar signs.

He seemed happy until I described the 'market adjustment' thing next to the window sticker as the 'Do I look STUPID?' sticker.

I told him that I'd be willing to pay MSRP (a first for me) but not a penny more and that if he thought he was going to get just under $43k for that car, he'd better get used to looking at it since it will probably be there for a while.

The sales kid was not so happy when he left.

I drove Greg K's last tuesday (GREAT birthday gift, BTW) as did my girlfriend and we both decided that it would be OK to have a car exactly the same, even if that seemed a bit tacky on the surface.

Guess I'll just have to keep my eyes peeled...but I"m not paying more than MSRP for one....just not gonna happen.

Hey Greg-If I were you...I would give World One Performance a call and ask for Garret. He is awesome and will beat any other vendor out there on price for parts... He also is developing a lot for the Evo with one of the best tuners out there....can't say names...but give him a call and talk about your plans with what you would like to do with the car.

Vishnu is great, but, and this is in my opinion....I think it is a little over priced. You can get as nice of parts for your car and still save money compared to Vishnu. But again, they are great and have been around for awhile. The thing is though, so are a lot of other manufacturers....since this car has been in production for years and years...people are very familiar with the Evo and how to make great performance products for it!

Garrets #206-938-7975 Tell him Clint sent you and he'll find all that you want for your car!

thanks for the advice. I will keep it in mind. I'm having enough of a good time driving it to work stock right now. The one benefit to starting work at ~3am, not much traffic on the way in...
