How much is the relocation panel from Mitsu?? I thought is was pretty cheap. Guess I'll need to look into doing that first.
Having years of stereo install experience from being a kid, I'm sure I could switch the deck to the lower din fairly easily given the correct relocation panel.

Where is the best place to install the oil temperature sender? Does mitsu use the oil drain plug for their factory gauges?

The thing is, I'm thinking about using a magnetic oil drain plug, so I was wondering if there are any other locations I can mount the sender.

Those gauges that are called d-gauges. They are mechanical gauges specially designed by Defi for the US Market. These imperial gauges display a orange color glow at night, and are extremely popular with EVO Owners.

Supply of these gauges are, however, very limited at this moment. If you see any store that has them or offer pre-order for these products, grap them quickly.

boom29, Omori makes black faced gauges that have an adjustable backlight that will adjust to any color with a turn of a knob. They go for $165 at j-spectuning.com. That's what I got and they're perfect! Better with the din panel because it looks like a stock setup. Less conspicuous, you know?
