I want to try and get a St. Louis and nearby arear chat/roll call going. Id love to actually meet up with someone that owns an evo near me and what not. We had a huge gathering on the cobalt.net site but probly for obvious reasons. Iv seen a few driving around, a heavily modded OB one if thats any one on here.

i just moved outta stl. im still there usually on weekends, but not with my car since its e85 and wont make it down from chicago! good luck. the evo community is sparse in STL.

 

Yeah, we seem to be reluctant to get together. I arranged a meet back in 03 and another in 04 - then moved to the STi world for a few months.

Anymore, I'm just helli-busy. I don't DD my Evo; it sits in the garage and waits for track days....lol.

 

The STL Evo owners are a reclusive bunch...I organized a few meets in 2006-2007. It was like pulling teeth to get anyone to come out.
Like boomn29, I'm never home to drive my Evo, it just sits in the garage, lonely. Poor Evo.

Wow...you are bailing for other boards just because fifty evo owners didn't jump up instantly and we're weak? What happened to all the talk in the first post...you wanted to make things happen?

Boomn's car is a dedicated track rat (almost)...not street comfy for every day. I'm not hauling test gear to logging sights, scrap yards and contruction sights in mine...that's what a 3/4 ton truck is for. Believe you me, there are alot of us that "tear it up" when we have time.

Don't just pack it in because you didn't have immediate gratification. So you had two owners that have been around awhile and gave you a heads up as to the local scene in the past... Is that all it takes to deter you? Wow. At least try...maybe you can generate some interest.

 

fwiw; I put about 700 miles on my Evo this weekend.

Drove it over to Putnam Park and back for a weekend track event. Now it's back in the garage. Feels kinda weird drive it around with all the stickers on the sides; and I need to put some extra NASA contingency ones on yet for next month!

Btw, anyone want to sell/give me a truck/trailor setup please inquire within!

 

I wish I would've been home long enough this weekend to put 70 miles on mine. This job thing is really getting in the way of what is important.
