no front plates in IL?

just curious how many folks in IL aren't running front plates? has anyone got into trouble because of that?

i'd hate to spoil my pristine front bumper ...

my car never had plates on it and it never will under my possesion. I've gotten **** from cops about it, in the burbs mostly. In the city they do not bother about it as much. It spends most of its time in a garage anyways so the cops can't go looking around to give me tickets like they would on the street lol.

Never had a front plate on any of my vehicles. Never had a problem. I have had buddies get pulled over for a seatbelt or something and then the cop said something about their front plate, but never been stopped just because of that.

"I did not know I couldnt do that"

i have thought about just keeping the plate in the trunk. If I were to get pulled over, I would just say that the bracket got broke and I am waiting on another to come in the mail.

Or I could say I bought the car form out of state where they have no front plate law.

I dont think its a big deal around here though.

don't put your plate on your dash, that could be a projectile in an accident.

12k miles, 1.5 years, 0 tickets. pulled over once and he didn't notice.

I have always said, it didnt come with a bracket, as both of my EVO'S havent. they say, you need to get one. I say, ok.

I also say where is it supposed to go?

I also say, I have a hard time drilling 3 10mm holes in my bumper when it didnt come with it.

anyway, pulled over probably 5 times in 6 years of evo's, no tickets because of it,

I got my first warning a few weeks ago, in 7 years of daily driving. What I don't get is, I never see front plates on vettes, are they getting tickets? I don't think so.

got a 2 warnings. once pulled over for that and the other time pulled over for tints. I'm more worried about getting ticketed while its parked thats why I avoid parking on the street.
