It's 2 hrs 20 mins away from Chicago
We took rt59 to rt30 and then to I55. There was construction in Plainfield as we were getting towards rt30. There wasn't heavy construction but it was there. I don't remember how bad the traffic was but I know there is normally traffic around that area. I remember everything she's mentioned. Only thing I missed was when she was having car problems because she was behind me.
Before we got kicked out of the gas station.

Pending where in Chicago you stay, as in downtown or in a suburb will obviously make a difference. The drive to MOD has usually been roughly 2.5 hours, sometimes a little longer.
In the past some of the guys in St. Louis have put together a convoy up to MOD. Try and touch base with fellow STL guys and see if they are putting together a convoy again.

These two are named "Mitsu" and "Bishi", I see them every year.
mitsu and bishi are so cute i seen them last year
i took my husky last year i think shes going to stay home this year cause we have 2 of them now and there is no way im going to be able to handle both of them on my own all day

Crap, I put up the wrong info-poster at the top.
As far as what do people do - hang out, socialize, check out new cars from Mitsu, talk with Mitsu engineers/designers/employees. I think there's factory tours, too. Usually various shops show up with their cars, as well. I'm pretty sure AMS goes every year.
