I'm down, but I work Friday nights. Plus that's kind of a haul for me. I might be able to make it if we scheduled a meet like monthly or bi-monthly so I could get the night off.

I'll be interested to see what comes of this.

EDIT: We could just all make it a point to be at each of the 4 sport compact shows at Milan Dragway. I think it would be shweet to have tons of local Mitsusabi's chillin' together at the track.

US 131 Motorsports Park is not centralized. It's 40min from me and I live in lower western Michigan. Milan Dragway is more centralized as far as the distance between Detroit and Grand Rapids. But then again, quite the travel from the North. If your looking for a location in Michigan to bring everyone together including the North, then Mid-Michigan Motorplex in Stanton Michigan might be a better choice. Why not plan a track day at one of Michigan's road courses and piggy-back with another club this summer. With an all day event, it would be well worth the travel for most of us. I would be game as long as it doesn't interfere with the SCCA CenDiv Autocross Schedule.

 

Perhaps we should look into starting an actual club. I could design the vinyl decals!

Seriously though, we could have meets all around the state, go to tracks, etc. By having them all around the state, we could ensure that far away members could at least be able to hit a few within driving distance. Something to think about...

I guess my idea was to at least bring the Detroit area EVO's together....I work 7 days a week, so traveling outside Detroit will not be a possibility...

I am in for just about anywhere. I live in GR but make frequent trips to detroit for family. I would like to meet some other enthusiasts.

 

I have only seen 4 evos around my area since last year.

 

Just to solidify things a little - First meet will be at Maple and Telegraph location - as mentioned above.

We can then move to an agreed upon location - but let's get the first one nailed down.

The location is great for me, since I work in Southfield and live in Clarkston - I'd normally be passing right by. But my new son is due to be born in a couple weeks, so I'll probably have to pass on this first meeting. Be sure to post some pics though!

I think I won't be available on that weekend either. It is a little early to be absolutely sure.

 

Milan would be good, so would 131.

 

I would be in for a regular get together, but I would be more interested in a concerted effort to put together a list of track days we could sign up for at Waterford, Gingerman, and Grattan. Maybe hop in on some of the Porsche, VW/Audi, Alfa Club track days. (Clarkston area BTW)
