SnoCross at Gingerman

The Central Wisconsin Sports Car Club is putting on a snocross at Gingerman Raceway Sunday March 7th. If you've ever wanted to race on a snow covered 2 mile road course this is your chance. Cost is only $45. Details are at http://www.myautoevents.com/pls/mae/...16343122003671 -Erik

This should give you a good idea what Gingerman looks like in the snow:

Right click > save target as 5MB

Thanks for the posting the vid. I was there that day too. It was so much fun that my friend and I had to rent the track ourselves for March 7th. -Erik

No problem.

Are you sure there is going to be enough snow on the track though?
Even back then people said that the change from pavement to ice/snow was the biggest thing they'd like to change. Anotherwords, i think that's what most people liked the least.

Not enough snow is the only thing we're worried about. Thats why we're not taking any money till the day of. Next winter we'll do a couple events in December and January. I liked the change from snow to ice in some of the areas. Kinda scary/fun coming up the hill to turn 1 and having sheer ice in the braking zone. -Erik

I forgot to mention that if there is no snow we will still put on the event. We have the track, might as well use it. Might be a good idea to bring two sets of tires unless you have all seasons. -Erik

Not looking good for snow coverage.

I didn't even realize G-man was open in the winter. I'll have to keep my eye open next winter.

The weatherman says it's going to be 50+ and sunny this weekend, doesn't look good. Plus the rain is coming from the south begining of next week.

Looks like around 10 people have registered. Instead of driving around in the snow it looks like we'll be driving around in the dry. Those 10 people are gonna get a lotta track time on Sunday. I was gonna bring my Mazdaspeed Protege on snow tires but now I'm taking my EVO on the stock Advans. -Erik
