I live around Randall and Rt. 64 just a lil north and west of there. I felt the guys at GRD were pretty straight up with me and if you go in knowing what you want they won't give you the run around. I will be using them in a few months to flash my car and give feedback of what I thought

I've been very curious about those guys for some time now. Seems like the only other big shop around here is AMS, who seems to really have their stuff together. However, if GRD has a dynapack and they know how to tune Vishnu and APS stuff (maybe even TurboXS), then that makes them stand out a little as a premium shop.
Keep us posted on how you like working with them. And get them posting on this board!!

They told me they can definately tune the Turbo XS utec, but they said to wait a few months to get the bugs worked out and wait until turbo xs offers more options. They have tuned several wrx's with utecs and I do believe Vishnu products as well. They can also do afc tunes and stand alones. AMS is another great shop, but they are not as close to my house as GRD. I should tell them to start posting to get their name out there more.

hey everyone, I'm on GRD's staff, I have an Evo and 02 WRX. My WRX was one of the fastest stock block w/o N20 11.8's at 120 traps (clutch would not hold) making 420 whp. GRD has done my tuning and Ecutek flash on their AWD dyno for my WRX. We are getting the flash software for the Evo's soon. GRD is the largest APS dealer in the US, let us know if we can help in any way.

Dan

Good idea on the dyno day maybe they would cut us a good price if we got at least 5-10 people to meet up there and get tuned and put parts on. we should shoot for late spring early summer, when the weather is nice

I'd be interested in a dynoday at GRD. I could use the AFC tune and maybe a flash by then.

Hi Dan,
It's great to have one of you posting here! Few questions for you...
1. Do you know anything we don't about the UTEC for the Evo? Like when it's coming and what features it will have, price?
2. What do you think of Vishnu's stuff? They have you listed as an authorized dealer on their site. Shiv seems to be good and **** retentive, a "no BS" quality that I like in a stage tuner if I'm putting that stuff on my daily driven baby. Are you guys up to speed on what they've put together for the Evo?

I'll try to stop by some time once it warms up a bit.

Thanks!

ok as far as the dyno day idea its a good one but they wont do it because of the area they are in. i overheard them talking to the previous owner of building and they said boldy that they wouldnt do a dyno day. i got my car dvnod there. not bad building and in great are a for publicity.

Would you care to elaborate why they are opposed to a dyno day? I thought they had plenty of parking, but I may be wrong. I also thought it would give the shop some

i had over heard them and the previous owner talking and the previous owner said that the city would be cool about this place but try not to have a big huge gathering here. suc as a dyno day and one of the owners was like oh no i wouldnt do this. cause i guess there really not supposed to have a dyno in there?? i dunno y not but i guess cause of neighbors complaints from last shop when they had a dyno day.. but i am going down there today?? and will talk to them about this for us all. id like to get my car redynod after this weekends tuning.

Really, that is surprising. there are a bunch of other car maintainence shops in that mall. Oh well, guess I will have to dyno solo if they don't want a dyno day.
