After I had it just where I wanted it in terms of mods, I left town for a week and told my son, normally a very responsible kid, that he could use the car. The car ended up in police impound for months, then sold to salvage. He's still waiting for the court hearing.
As for rims for a red EVO, I agree that bronze just looks like you have dirty rims, but that seems to be the most popular way to go. I saw some gold LE 28ns with a polished lip that I thought looked pretty hot, but pretty expensive way to go. I do think the cars look much better with 18s and little drop though, even if the bigger rims don't help performance.

What did he do to get in such big trouble....yikes.
As far as rims. I was looking at those same rims. I love the gold with the polished lip. It will look awesome on most Evo's. My friend has some 18" volks and his Evo is lowered and it looks absolutely beautiful. The car sits just right with 18's and being lowered. Great way to go if you have the $$$$.
$3200 for rims and tires is expensive, but I think it is well worth it, and I think it does help the performance a little bit by being lower and on some stiffer springs.
