Aftermarket Seats, Airbag removal, Inspections. PLEASE READ!

Basically...i have no need for the rear or side airbags in my car and want to remove them as part of my weight reduction...i also want to replace the heavy stock seats with some carbon/kevlar buckets...

here's the issue:

SRS light if i remove airbags or seats
Seat Belt chime when i get harnesses and remove front belts?

In New Hampshire...we have an OBD2 scan for inspections to read emissions and check engine lights. Will an SRS light count as a CEL? Or count as a check engine light that will cause me to fail inspection?

How do i replace stock seats with race seats?

Help me PLEASE! haha

that covers a small portion of my questions, thanks

But, i more importantly need to know if SRS light counts as a CEL or check engine light that will cause failure of inspection, OR...if the method used on the seats to trick the SRS ECU will work on ANY airbag in the car, not just the seats.

i want to remove all side and rear bags and related ****

You can remove the seats, airbags, steering wheel, etc. All you need to do after is run resistors in each of the empty harnesses (once you remove those oem parts). I have the correct ohm resistors if you need them..

This a street driven car? You need the airbags.

Got a cage? It's not a street car any more, so who cares about inspection?

In Pennsylvania having the SRS or Airbag light on will not cause a failed state inspection. You are from NH and not sure about their laws.

A good question. I was under the impression that no 5/6 point harnesses are street-legal. Even the 4-point Scroth Rallye 4's seem like a gray area (they are certified in some vehicles and not others).
