Having issues with 5th and 6th gear

recently i noticed my 5th and 6th gear is being a bit odd.
i drive in manual in sport mode, and when i was on the freeway yesterday when I am in 5th or 6th gear and i give it more than 40% throttle the rpm just jumps up to 4500-5000 while it is in the same gear. doesnt seem to have this problem in gears 1-4
anyone with the same issues?

You need to gather allot more information to come to that conclusion. You always jump the gun, and tell people there trans is shot, and take it to the dealer. Every trans issue is NOT a disaster like yours. Most situations are tune related, and NOT a catastrophic failure. Yes, they might have to take it to the dealer, but you don't need to scare the **** out of ever single MR owner that posts up saying there trans is destroyed.

Considering he was only having problems in 5th and 6th gear, it's NOT the clutches. If it was, he would also be having the same issues while in 1st through 4th.

1- How many miles on car?
2- Last fluid and filter change (Trans NOT oil)
3- Mod list, and is the car tuned?

torque reduction

Clutches are most likely not slipping but getting in "synch" with the torque request.

Put it in Normal and do the same thing, I bet you get it even more.

There is a torque look up per RPM/MPH (gear ratio) x Vehicle speed in km/h and a Output per RPM/MPH.

Also requested Torque look up throttle x RPM and also final WGDC x TPS.

yes, it's complex.

so after i reflashed my car it started to happen again so lately ive been driving it in automatic on normal setting, and few days ago i was on the freeway and i was trying to speed up a bit and it downshifted from 6th to 5th gear, and after words locked my 2, 4,6 gears so i only had 1 3 5 that kinda scared me so i pulled over and turned the car off and on again, and still 1 3 5 only. and after a reflash i had all my gears again. anyone know if tahts the clutch or the tune?
im going to revert my car back to stock this week and have the dealer look at it

No, it's the tune. The AMS downpipe and test pipe are too much for the OTS Stage II calibration. Go get yourself a Protune from someone who knows how to work with the SST.

I feel like I see this in my stock MR. If im half throttle in lets say forth gear and i floor it, there slight hesitation then jump in rpm and we're off. Im new to the car and still feeling things out. Maybe there is some level of this for everyone?

its not quite like that, my rpm jumps but not the speed, and if i keep the throttle up than it locks out gears 2-4-6 than i have to pull over and reflash my map
