Hello everyone, I am new to the forums. I bought a used 2010 Evo x MR and everything was fine until I decided to use the S-Sport on a hard run, transmission service message came on and shortly after the engine light with the codes P2733 and P2809.
The transmission will go into limb mode after 30 minutes drive and 100 miles on the clock. Given my options, I decided to change the transmission fluid and it's filter, while doing it I notice that the old fluid was burned and with a dark brown color.

It has been 325 miles since the replacement fluid and filter. After some research, I decided to use sport mode at all time while shifting manually with the paddles. Anyway, everything is running smooth. So if you are having similar issues this could fix your tranny problem.

 

Why not use S-Sport?

 

Sold the car, the transmission codes came right back and the car needs a new transmission. Worst purchase ever.... Good luck to you.
