SST. custom tune for higher power

Does anyone know how to reprogram the Sst trans if u have 500-600whp? I have been told that if you should get a sst tune as well as the ecu tune to match your power, so the trans don' slip the clutches. Is this done with a tcu flash?? Or what progam used? There is little to no inforation about Sat tuning out . Any help would be great. Also I will be sending my clutch packs to kosmic motorsports to get a 10 disc install

Before I would do anything I would contact CBRD. When my MR was getting tuned Chad answered all my questions about tuning SST.

If this hasn't happened already since you're going with Kozmic, ask them about tuning and they can set you up with Mike Adkins (M-tuned) for a remote tune or give you recommendations on who you could have tune it locally.

The trans needs clutches for anything more than about 450whp IIRC, maybe a little more. They'll slip on the shift past that, regardless of tuning.

They can ~400wtq down low, but it needs to have torque taper off or it won't hold the shift.
