Issues With SST Transmission

Hey everyone. I’m having some issues with my SST transmission. First the car won’t shift into gear unless I hold the white button by the shifter towards the back. Then once I get it into gear it’s like everything’s a neutral. Won’t let it move the car at all. I figured the transmission was bad so I replaced it and I’m still having the same issues.

I tried doing the teach-in procedures on both transmissions and both of them will stay stuck on Pending on the Teach- in executing then say timeout error on the first step (Clutch Ventilation) no matter how many times I try. I tried skipping a step to see if any of the others will say normal end yes but it’s doing the same thing on those as well.

Here are the codes I got from Evoscan from the original transmission

And here are the codes I have now with the new transmission

I know the 1802 and 1803 codes keep the clutch open. I’m just wondering what could be the actual issue? Could I have bought another bad transmission?

Thanks in advance!

your shifter box is likely bad and or needs to be reprogrammed.

Thanks for the reply! I went through that thread and it kind of makes sense. I never knew there was some sort of ECU in the shifter itself that could’ve possibly been damaged. I have another one on the way since mines damaged anyways. Hopefully this solves everything.

I forgot to post my results after replacing the shifter. For anyone that ends up having this issue replacing the shifter solved all my issues. I was able to perform the teach-ins without a hiccup as well.

Thanks Robbie
