NEW Outlander Sport/RVR Turbo for MOD!
#50
Hello there guys,
I'm OS owner myself and my friend in Moscow have made his OS Evo.
Just for you you to know.
Here is his drive blog (autotranslated from Russian)
https://www.drive.net/r/mitsubishi/1184231/
Long story short:
He took OS 1.8 CVT 2wd (named ASX here) for his wife and made it 2.0 4wd. Then he realized the little SUV is fun and has got potential and bought another 4wd one for himself.
Being professional mechanic, he swapped 4b11t, entire Evo X tran and TC-SST. Installed XYZ coilovers, sportier wheels, 76mm custom exhaust, Evo 9 Recaros, (much cheaper than from Evo X)
Current specs are around 380bhp, 4.4 sec 0-100 by racelogic. In other words it runs like hell and very fun to drive. Ultimate sleeper)
Here are some vids where he owns Subaru and stock SRT.
https://www.drive.net/l/6729960/
Now he's planning to reinforce the SST, add AYC and build another 4b11t for 440whp setup.
Here are some tips and variants from him for making OS (4wd) faster (tested on 2L CVT 4wd Lancer), ranked from cheapest to the most expensive:
camshafts - intake/exhaust - tune - 9 sec 0-100
4b12 swap - CVT cooler - camshafts - 8 sec 0-100
4b12 swap - camshafts - MT swap - 7.5 sec 0-100
6b31 (v6) + AT swap - 7.5 sec 0-100 (perfect setup for city driving)
4b11t swap + MT swap (standard 2wd or 4wd trans) + reinforced clutch - 5.5 sec 0-100
full Ralliart/EvoX swap (MT or SST gearbox, AYC or AYC-less) - 0-100-200 depends on prep and budget, just like with standard Evos.
additional tips:
CVT will break over 220bhp.
4b11t (or turbokit) can be swapped directly on CVT, but boost should be limited to 0.4. If you want more - MT (F5MMB or W5MBB for 4wd) swap is the only option here.
Hope this info helps. Cheers.

Recaro seats from Evo 9, Evo X steering wheel, Evo shiftknob which naturally comes with SST.

How much for the kit? I have 2012 outlander sport 5 speed with short ram intake, custom exhaust from downpipe to rear, aftermarket wheels and lowered

this may be on my list to do coming up! I have been debating it for a long time. My 2013 OS has a ton of miles and will be retired from daily use in the future. thank you for the info and links!

Sorry, I know it was year ago now. But would you be able to help provide any more details on build? I am hoping to so the same swap.

@Workaholic I am pretty sure RRE is out of business for a few years. Also the kit seemed rough. I tracked 3 users on YouTube and here and they said an engine light was a constant issue.
