On a short track like LRP I don't care how much car you have if you brake on the downhill unnesecarily - you are going to get rolled. The difference between a UGTR and an MR is not enough to make up a 10 mph difference in exit speed during the front straight and I had at least 20 mph on him. He passed me back a couple laps later but it took him a lot more work to do so than it took me when I rolled him.
I totally agree with you on the unnecessary downhill breaking. Maybe you were a much better driver than the GTR driver… I give you props for that. But at the same time a Honda civic can out brake an F1 car…. (Far from realistic but just trying to make a point) It all comes down to the driver. Track days are really hard to gauge a cars performance.

Ultima GTR power to weight ratio 3.59 (world record setting car)

5.1 (450bhp typical build)

Evo MR (kinda stock 250whp) power to weight ratio 12.8

Let’s just remember that the Ultima GTR just smashed the Maclaren F1’s 0-100-0 and 0-200mph. I own a 317whp evo and after going for a 20min ride in the GTR…. My Evo has nothing but a wet skid pad on the GTR
