I'm very interested in the RS & RS Pro models.

I believe I'm one of the ones gemenix was complaining about expecting coilovers to cost less than $2K. I suppose you can blame that on gruppe-s and most of the other sites. until recently the only thing you could find were either Tien or Cusco. I have sense been educated on the cost of coilovers, or at least the cost of really good coilovers.

Looking forward to seeing how this develops.

I would also like to mention that I can offer these with the reservoirs mounted directly on the shock so you do not have to route any hosing, it will save some time on the installation, and will most likely help a bit on the cost as the quick disconnects add a small amount to the cost.

Yup, as people will see these will rule the tracks and autocross, theyre what I'd like to call a work of art, and in the end you get what you pay for, but luckily with JRZ and the RS line, you get a lot for what you pay.

Just to let you guys know, I'm trying to hurry JRZ into releasing these great shocks for the Evo so I'm able to offer them to all those that want them as soon as possible.

Max Cudich

If you get that Evo 10 let me know, because I plan to still be doing this even around the time of its release in 5 years!!

Hey Richard!,

I really do like the ohlins. But the ohlins are only single adjustable. don't get me wrong, they work great after ~25k miles.

I would prefer to have a double adjustable setup if the price is right

Don't mean to hijack but - when shopping around how are the prices for coilovers displayed? I finally found aplace that sells Motons & Ohlins and if the price is for the whole kit then I don't see the big deal. However, if the price is per corner........ Would somebody enlighten me?

I do have some questions about the JRZ shocks that you are planning to offer:

1) What shaft length options are available and will shorter shafts add additional cost?
2) Can the front and rear units be inverted?
3) What valving options are available for the units? I've worked with Motons on other applications and their "standard" valving while highly adjustable wasn't suitable.
4) Will they work with 2.25" springs?

An idea of the price/corner without springs would be nice as well. Just trying to see if I should rework my Koni 28's or start with something new...

Thanks,
Eric

"real" dampers like this are going to demand a higher price.... just the nature of being specifically made...

as for JRZ and MOTON, one of the priniciples left JRZ a few years back and started moton, thats why they share similar characteristics and technology...

coming from someone thats driven on..ohline, jrz, penske, koni, etc etc on various race cars from formula mazda to LMP900 in alms, i can tell u that dampers like this will make almost any other kit seem uncontrolled and loose....

1) Yes I can custom order shorter shafts, but I'm quite sure it will add to the cost, I'll have to speak with JRZ about it.
2) I don't think JRZ offers inverted shocks, but the reason being that the shafts are so big that bending forces don't really matter, and the shaft guide is so long inside the shock that it also controls any flex extremely well.
3) I can enquire about custom valving, I'm almost certain they offer it, but from what they explained to me they match it to your spring rate so you never run out of adjustment.
4) That's a question I actually need to ask for my own application too, so I'll definately have your answer on monday!!

Max Cudich

Just as a note, early next week I'll be posting some dyno graphs for these shocks.
