Nils and Robi, Im sorry to be a PITA.....but Im just wondering how well the wheel fits without fender rolling (you mande no mention of any fitment issues or mods). If I can't get the 40mm's, what would you suggest the next step would be?

Im still shocked how deeply inset they are....with jus a 40mm offset.

Fred is the best.

You need to roll, cut and massage your fenders to make these work. Negative camber also helps, so running RA-1's favor the setup a little more. The wheels/tires clear great, no rubbing, not even during the longest, fastest sweepers.

For the price, the NT03's can't be beaten! Im definitely enthused. Just the same, Im not going to use tires that large. 255/35 or 265/25R18's in Advan Neovas, I think they only have 265's now.

All things equal, this is the look I want without spending a fortune (like 600 bucks a wheel for Volks). However, Im seeing everyone with 27mm offset....but can find no pictures with anyone on the car. I want that wide/deep look and the ability to cram huge rubber under there, but spacers.....being in the tire business for years....not sure spacers are for me. We'll see though.

dont be scurred. Robi has researched this stuff.

Completely custom machined hubs, hub centric on BOTH sides. They are on there 'dead-on'. Just have to make sure to give Fred the right sizes.

Same wheel offset for front and rear so you can swap the tires around during a track day. With +40 in the rear it is like a match made in heaven, imho.

Tracked alot of different cars.. and I really like the wheel set-up, I am picky about schnit and I like it.

I'd like to see pics of the +27's

btw - what size are your Springs? I am running coil-overs and have more wheel clearance than a stock sized suspension probably would.

Im using Espelir ASD springs currently but plan on going to coilovers rather soon. If the 40's look and work like you've for them now, I can settle for them. Im not sure the 27's will fit....gonna have to research that a bit.

yeah, this setup is not for everyone.. check out the 27's, that might work too. Definitely research before you buy, what works great for some might not apply to you, that goes out to anyone

I understand that....but if I am not mistaken, the sheer dish size he lip and inset of the wheel facing) is huge on a 40mm offset wheel....Im wondering if the 27mm offset has deeper appeal to it. I know most 18x9.5's that fit the Evo, will take 28-29mm offset. 40mm offset just seems way more towards a wheel that looks....umm, FLAT, like the wheel facing comes to the edge of the rim. This does not appear to be the case......

With that, the 27mm's might be the ticket, and even appear deeper than the 40mm's and not require spacers. Gonna have to hit a wheel shop and see what fits.

Also, Robi, my car is going in for paint in another 3-4 weeks, as soon as I get the opportunity to borrow a car to drive for the week. Anyways.....fender rolling......what is entailed?

I understand you do this as a service and wouldn't want to disclose and potential secrets...but Im looking for that wheel package to fit, with 265.35r18 Neovas underneath, and will settle for nothing less.

Also, Ive got espelir springs as it is right now...Im concerned I can't fit those wheels without coilovers. So I'll have to get them all at the same time. I dont need top shelf, so Ominpowers are it! LOL.....maybe not.....hahah

Any input is appreciated. Thanks
