STU rules help

I thought I would post this for you fellow autoX folks, I'm currently running an '03 Evo GSR in STU and down the road I want to install either a quaiffe or Evo RS LSD in the front to replace the open diff. The question I have is would this then put me into a street prepared or SM class? Or would I still be able to remain in STU? I've been scouring the rule book but can't seem to find a definitive answer because I think this would get into the updating/backdating issue. Thanks!

Unfortunately, the diff would put you into BSP. No update or backdate allowed in any ST classes.

The rules for STU for some reason are not included in the handbook. However, you can add an LSD to a car that does not already have one. In our case (you, rat and myself) we cannot do anything b/c the 03 EVO already has 2 LSDs installed.

The only solution to stay in STU is to buy an 05 or IX.

Or you could install the front LSD anyway, not tell anybody and hope nobody notices.......
