Redline Time Attack, April 28th-29th, Buttonwillow Raceway, Registration Open
treadwear of 140 or higher for street and 50 or higher for modified. yes, Ra-1s would place you in modified.
yeah.. too bad its not a standing mile contest..
and yes... dot-r puts you into modified.
lol ok.
I obviously know its not a standing mile contest dude. A blind man could tell you that, all I'm saying is that I think you have a little more power than the average in the street class don't ya think ? The way you we're flyin down the straight at California Speedway, I'd say you were at 420whp+ from what I saw lol.
:P
Whatever floats your boat buddy, we'll see ya out there. This looks to be really fun

I will be there running in modified just to hold up our end a bit. I'm not expecting a lot, as I do not know the track. I think barfly has little to worry about from me...no excuses, just a dose of reality. It just looks like a fun event to me, and a little break from the NASA TT format. I'll be there both days. I'll be on 275 RA-1's. I know it's configuration 13, but which direction, CW or CCW?
Yeah, it's CW.
Percy, I will also be cheating a bit as NASA is also running 13 CW 2 weeks prior to the Redline event. I will help with the line as much as I can as it would be nice if we were both competitive overall in our class. It's not like there is big money for the winner. I think max contingency money for me is from Moton and that would be $300. I will also be running 275 RA-1s.
It should be fun and it will be nice to meet some of you other guys. I'm tired of just beating up on Ryan all the time.

Percy - The track is very intuitive. You will figure it out quickly. Go on Saturday and run the HPDE and that will be plenty of practice. Going CW, the apex of Magic Mtn. is WAY over the top of the hill about where the berm runs out. Have fun.

I bought a '94 Miata last night (bone stock) and I'm in a rush to get it track ready. I'm sure it will be by April 28 & 29, but if I go to the track that weekend, it will probably be Spring Mtn. with SV. I might go to the HPDE at Buttonwillow on Sat. instead, but I doubt if I would run the Time Attack on Sun.
Just looked at Wurth's exige vid for that configuration...does look pretty intuitive, and fast! It will be a fun weekend no matter how you slice it.
I'm offcially signed up now. It's going to be a long, crampy drive south on 5 in my racing seat
