Proper Tow Hook install and some other odds & ends...

I updated my blog, including some interior work and the installation of a proper front tow set-up.

Blog entry is here.

Tow strap installation can be found here.

Let me know your questions/comments.

Nice idea. So do you just slide the hook thru the loop and secusre it back to the tow line?

Have you ever done any other Targa races?

I looked through your blog from the other thread you posted about the cage. I will definately be checking back, very nice work. Good luck getting your power issues worked out, and most of all good luck in the Targa.

Yes, you just slide the tow rope through the loop and you're good to go.

I competed in Targa three times as a navigator. I have thought about entering La Carrera Panamericana, but won't do it because it's in Mexico. After Newfoundland I may try to enter Targa Tasmania, as the cost to ship by boat from SF to Australia probably will cost less than to ship the car by truck to Newfoundland!

interesting. However, I used the stock holes in the front bumper, and picked up a strap that was similar, went through the hole, and just trimmed a little of the wire grill away. I'll have to find a few pics of it.

That certainly would have been a lot easier. I didn't want to block any air openings whatsoever, and preferred the look of it sticking out of it's own place on the bumper.
