Wheel to wheel national guys rebuild their calipers a couple times a season. I would be surprised if the time trial guys had to do it more than once a year, for beginners probably not at all.

yeah, I put 2 hard seasons on my calipers before this rebuild... the piston seals looked very good, however, my dust boots had taken a serious beating & were cracked all over. Im adding Ti shims this time around, hoping they'll protect the calipers.

Mine looked like this after my first lapping day. They continued to work fine for two more years.

Cracked dust boots really don't matter, the seals are the important part.

caliper seal set

I just got a full set (both front calipers) of seals and boots from subarugenuineparts.com for $72 shipped. The suby part no. is 26297FE010. Once I get a few more parts in (and it thaws out around here) I'll see if these are for sure the right bits. Just in case someone has one lying around to check, the Brembo part no. on the 46mm boot is 20 4872 51.

It's been a tough last quarter of the year...

In the last quarter I got a pre-mature start to my winter projects after cracking a piston So I invoked my sponsor's name (begins with an F and ends it "it" but can't make it past the swear filter ) and did the following

The preliminary tune was over 300whp and over 280ftlbs of torque running pig rich (AFR's in the 10s on 91 octane gas) so the current tune is pretty conservative.

the stuff I have left to do are:

plus many items I can't afford at the moment....

I think the biggest challenge will be getting used to the EVO again after a 1 year sabatical from racing

Just completed the custom rear diffuser...

Now all I have to do is....

      -DMS rear hats
      -AIM MXL Pista
      -Get Bushwacked tranny
      -New Clutch???!!
-Finish up front end downforce setup...canards
-Let the Master tuner Franz aka "fatbastard" finish up the race gas map/tune
and once I get back from the desert... custom paint and she's done

other than that she'll be in storage for half of the season

Oh yeah hopefully my Black TE37 17x10 will be here SOON!, its been going 8 + months... Mackin Industries sucks... hopefully J-Ondemand will come through and not let me down.

Settled on a suspension. I'll be going with the new Zzyzx EM sports.

Now I just need to ponder if I should add camber plates and the Whiteline Roll Center kit.

roll center kit FTW. After reading up on racing suspension geometry, I will never lower a production car again without it.

so what kind of racing you are going to do ? I have never seen your car on Track days in Tri-State area, nor AutoX. Please don't say its a 1/4 car lol
