I havent lived in NY for about 15 + years
Just because it says Tri-Sate Evo doesnt mean its in that area... its probably been there once or twice in the last 2 years.
If youre curious of whats the history of the car/project... search and read all my old threads
long stories...
To make it short... so I dont sound like Im being rude
This was project car that was supposed to be completed a long time ago, but due to some bumps in the roads with vendors it is still a working project.
It was supposed to be a show car first.. to gain some exposure, then later hit the time attack circuits.
Let me do my thing! Its my money!... Let me enjoy it during and after completion...and then I'll race the hell out of it!
Im passionate about my project(s)
I was one of probably 11 Skyline owners in the U.S. (in the early 90's) before it became popular on Playstation and everyone talked about JDM.
That project was was 90% completed before some retard in Brooklyn ended destoyed it.
So if I want to build it to haul groceries... eh! I can do that...
Well (after venting) lets get back to the subject... Winter projects

I don't race my car on the track or compete in solo, but maybe someone will find this interesting.
After two seasons of RallyX my Yoko A033 gravel tires are about to start shedding knobs, so I got Michelin ZAL/R 81 gravel tires, just like the WRC boys. (Until next year when they're all on spec Pirellis) The sidewalls are stupidly strong, I can barely budge them by hand, and the bead goes way deep into the wheel. Should give my shop's tire mounting machine a good workout. They're so cool I have to post a pic:

I've always wanted the steering wheel closer since in RallyX you can be lock-to-lock and back in very short order so I have a Splash hub, a Sparco quick release on order and I have a Sparco 375 wheel. Man that 375 steering wheel is nice, it's what should've been on the Evo from the factory.
The car was raised 0.5" when I put on my Hotbits, and that wasn't quite enough -- The rear 180-60 springs will be replaced with 200-60 and the car will be raised another 1.0". Front spring length is 250mm, so no need to for longer front springs.
Have some 3mm sheet polyurethane on order to replace the RallyArmor mudflaps which I've broke one so far. I'll use the existing flaps for templates, and probably make them just a bit bigger.
Finally, I have some Confor foam coming to replace the $0.10 foam Sparco puts under your butt in their seats. It's used in aircraft and is supposed to form to your fanny from body heat, and is non-linear in its response to impact, so it firms up under big bumps so you don't "bottom out", pun intended.
Lastly, I need to pull A & B pillar trim and the headliner which is where I call it quits, I've gutted everything else out of the car I'm going to do myself. In about a year I'll start thinking about getting the rest of the prep done on the car which the wife has asked if we should move money around to so I can get the work done pronto. I told her I can wait awhile. My wife is cool.

That is cool. Thanks for the pic! I normally have to use two layers of bead sealer to keep from blowing beads. Even then a can of ether and a book of matches comes in handy!!!
here are a few pics of my personal car...
maybe i'll get some track time this year (or just work and it will sit at the shop and wait until i have personal time)..
still have to finish machining block, then calibrate on our engine dyno, build dog box, then put into this:

Not an Evo, but here's a few pics of the car I'm prepping for the 24 Hours of LeMons race.

Gotta give a "hell yea!" to the lemons car! I so want to do that race at some point. Had a 240 I thought about doing it with but it was too nice!
I need to find 3 or 4 other guys to go in and do that race with!

A couple of things I've learned so far on that project:
Even little 100 hp FWD transmissions are heavy when they land on your foot.
A pipe bender is not a tubing bender.
Just hotwiring the fuel pump to a switch is a much better alternative than trying to figure out which of the 150 electrical connectors you should have left connected.

- TRE rear diff upgrade (check)
- new exhaust and customized Vishnu rear-undertray (check)
Time to save more pennies to get the suspension stuff...

1) Install Autopower 4 pt Rollbar and G-Force 6pt Harnesses
... a) fabricate passenger side for removal so I can transport tires in the back seat area
2) Install new SP Front rotors
3) Install Forge Brake cooling ducts
4) Install PIC Coilovers
5) Install SS Brake Lines
6) Decide on alignment setting - get alignment
7) Figure out what tires to run (255-40/17 NT01's or RA1's again?)
8) Figure out what brakes to run (have some Hawk Blues)
9) Need to change out driveline fluids; not looking forward to this

Franz ... I'll get with you once I get back
As you know I lost my Grandmother recently, ...and I just buried my mom yesterday.
All motivation has left my body to complete my project for right now...
So my car is sitting in storage, until I get back in September. Hopefully I'll get back on it once I return.
