I think youre not understanding the whole "points" issue. If your points exceed the limit for TTA, in your case your points significantly exceed that limit, then you no longer add up points to determine if you belong in TTS, TTU, or TTR. Once you exceed that limit and fall into the TTS/TTU/TTR group, you determine what class you belong in based off of their equation. Basically, TTS/TTU/TTR uses a totally different approach to determine what class you fall into. Here is the TTS/TTU/TTR car classification form:

http://www.nasaproracing.com/rules/T...n-form-SUR.pdf

As you can see, its really simple. Just plug in the respective numbers, and see where you end up. We already know you fall into TTS. So, you can run all the aero, suspension, power, and whatever mods your heart desires, as long as you do not exceed the TTS weight/power ratio limit. Btw, i dont know why, but Sean (smack_evo) added it up wrong. He got the minuses and pluses all backwards. It should look like this instead:

+.4 = 4-door sedan
-.5 = AWD
+.4 = 275 to 250 tires

A reminder, since youre now running an Evo9 turbo, you will no longer be classed as a 03 Evo8, equaling TTC +14. Instead, your base class will most likely be re-classed as an Evo9, ie TTB. So dont think of it as you noted in your preceding post: Evo 9 turbo +6 (I assume, because Evo IX is in TTB with 0 points, so 6 points away from evo 8). Instead, look at it as if you have an Evo9, and that your new base class is now TTB. But none of this really matters, because you fall into TTS. Now just use that equation to figure out how you can setup your car to stay in TTS. Thats if you want to stay in TTS. If you want to run in TTU, then set it up accordingly.

Very true points!

sorry to confuse you ed
i didn't have it wrong, you can go at it from either side. i was coming up with what is the max whp/lbs possible based on the car's weight and tire size currently. not from the cars current power because really who cares where it's at now. what you really want to know is what the limit for the class is and get the car there. but i suppose only if you want to actually be competitive

yes depending on the dyno. like i said, greg (tt director) has told anyone that uses a mustang dyno to add 10% to their whp before calculating whp/lbs.

so on a mustang you can only run 359 at your current weight.

which is about where i'm at. 3350/350whp.
