Now, I have never been to VIR and it says that Modified and Unlimited will be running full course while Street will be running patriot course, do they share the same paddock?

I have been planning to attend this since I missed it last year due to my sister's wedding. I say we should organize an unoffical evom met or if evom wants to get down we could have a offical meet like they did last year. I would love to meet up with you guys.

So disappointing that Street can't run on the real track. I'm planning to skip this event because the Street class is basically an autocross and I wouldn't be competitive in Modified. If Street class were on the big track, I'd be there. I don't understand what the track's big hangup is with having Street class on the main track. It's not as if the Street cars and Modified cars are night and day different below the front runners in each class. I bet the fastest street cars would be faster than a lot of those Grand Am cars.

Wasn't our call.... and wasn't really the track's call either. GTLive doesn't want "Street" cars on the main track, as they feel the main track is reserved for the "Big Show"..... whatever that means.

Could be one reason why we are considering NOT running with GTLive next year. ;-)

VIR Full course is amazing..Patriot not so... Do you still have to wear a full suit to run modified class? Cause at NJMP's time attack I see drivers wearing T-shirts/sweatpants on the track running modified.

Big Show? Thats sorta funny.

Some of the best shows I have seen are guys who flat out drive the wheels off cars that are not made of unobtanium.

I think the best way to be relevant is to make a level playing field as possible with an eye to ease of entry and safety. In short the more folks who can get in on the fun and be included the better off we will all be.

You need a suit and extinguisher for Modified.
