Short in car footy... AMS blue demon evo and Hamflex evo

Hey guys, couple weeks ago I headed out with AMS to Autobahn country club for some track time and some suspension set up. I recently put the stance gr+ 3-ways on my car and needed a good day to get a good feel for them and try and set them up properly. AMS had also brought out the infamous Blue Demon and the Evo X in ten weeks build.

I had just pitted when I saw the Blue Demon heading out, so I got right back on the track in an effort to get a little footage. Finally got a good go at it starting in the back straight..... This car is pretty damn fast so after a lap I called it as my brakes were already close to goin out on me. And he was way ahead! LOL

Just to do a basic comparison of the two cars

Blue Demon- 550 awhp 35r built AMS rr motor, JRZ racing dampers, Brembo big (huge) brake upgrade, Hankook c51 racing slicks.

Hamflex evo- 350 awhp stock turbo and motor, Stance gr+ 3-ways, stock brakes with PF01 pads girodisk rotors, Nitto NT01 R-comps

ENJOY,

Good video but is there any way you can mount the camera lower to the rear view doesnt block the camera's view? I messed with mine quite a bit to get it right. Also, curious as to what your car weighs?

^ Ditto. The rear view owns the video.

Ham, do you find that staying in 4th through turn 5&6 is better than going down to 3rd?

It really depends, on street tires i did. But on r comps you are able to carry more momentum with out losing traction... So its a toss up depending on tires.

And yes i know, i mounted the camera that morning and first time i watched the video... damn rear view!!! Im gunna try and lower it before monday for blackhawk.

And the weighted in at 3020 pounds with almost 3/4 tank of gas.

I wish my car could weigh in at 3020 pounds! scca madates us to weigh in at 3480 at the end of the race. I normally come in right about 3500 to leave a little buffer. I put in for an 80 pound weight reduction this past off season but they pretty much laughed at me.
