Just wanted to let any rally fans know about a new rally forum for Evos. This is a place for use to talk about rally events, our off road experiences, skid plates, light bars, rally suspension set-ups, etc. I hope to see a few of you over there

The rest of them doing auto X or drag andcircuit racing. Big props for them . They do use the car what its made for, some kind of racing.
How many owners actually does rally racing? We can be happy, if they actually do go out to do hill climb or rally X.
Fact to the matter is , i basically got kicked out one of the car show club , when i build my car to be a rally car. Basically boils down to that.
There is huge propaganda goes against rally in the states.
Why? i dont know... But even here in this forum vs the subi forums, the subi forum cover and promotes rally 100 more and better. That is why no wonder , when you actually go out to the rally races , you can see 100 times more Subaru owner spectators the Mitsubishi ones. Most of them here doesnt even know where and when the races are.... To see those Subi owners out there makes me wonder the EVo owners really doesnt care or they just dont get the infos.. Talking to them , it comes out they have 0 clue about rally never mind where and when abouts rally's .
The worst thing is actually vs the subaru forums , here you have to explain the majority of the people what is rally really means...
How bad the situation is?
I had my car tuned for road race a long time ago with one tuner, and i made some whp. after that we did got the rally route and of course we got retuned. /i never thought i have to explain why.../ With a different tuner for financial - schedlure - reachability reasons.
After that the forum where i got kicked out, they called me names and all kind of stories how stupid im etc , to change tuners and be happy with less and worst whp numbers....

I didnt mind it made more more sad, since i was a proud memeber of that group, from the "resurrection" , they dont even have a clue about rally rule's , like rerstricor and so on. That situtaion would never happen on the subaru forum , they know better.

Really makes me said , how much people dont know about the true use of the Evo, but agains that, how much they do KNOW and appriciate the after market bling blings...
I have to say , the people dont have to know everything about Evo, not even close , but at least a base knolidge about it. Even in EU or anywhere else less majortity of the people use the evo for rally, but they KNOW what is going on. They dont walk blind.
Very few holds the knowlidge here, but even then, they do not share.
The said part about this, that is not the avarage evo owner fault. They just doenst get the whole "religion" through community's. People with in position, they do care they own intrest much more then actually share a fraction knowlidge or field with the general popularity.
Think about it, How much, let say the tuner gains in buisness , to get a time attack car promotion vs the drag car. Here in the states peak numbers are the selling tools, not an overall performance. You can see this trend very clearly... called dyno thread
.If you go to the suspension threads they are basically dead vs the dyno one...

I dont want to offend anybody here so dont take it a wrong way, but i had to say this above.

Alot of people dont do rallycoss and other motorsports due to the fact that the Evo is their only car and many are still paying high monthly payments on them.
Still... I never and still dont understand why people are not interested in rally as a spectator. It was one of the main reasons I wanted in Evo in the first place and by far (in my opinion) the most exciting motorsports there is. I cant think of a more exciting moment in any sport I have been too then last years 100 Acre Wood in Salem, MO where the Volvo go stuck in the ditch on one of the 180 degree turns and me and tons of other spectators ran out their to push him out. Not to mention standing behind a tree on the side of the road and having cars fly past you a 60-80 mph on dirt.
