Thanks man! It's always been a dream of mine to get out and rally, and the event did not disappoint! All I could to is think about rally for 3 days after the event.

If I can get to the level of driving and team work where we're just consistent mid pack finishers, I'll be totally happy. We've actually had the "work up to speed slowly" talk and my co-driver is under strict orders to yell at me if I seem to be driving like a loon. I've only seen one video with my car in it and a spectator says both "he's not getting on that thing at all" and also calls me a "Sunday driver", we saw that video and laughed. Here it is below, second stage I've ever done:

dont worry about it, from out side everything is easy
But as soon as they are behind a wheel and the situation the WHOLE opinion changes very very quickly... I witnessed it many times.

Nice - glad to hear you got it finished up. Hope to see you out in Colorado at least a few times tearing it up next summer!

DaveK: we need to figure out what events we're going to do in 2012, but Temple Canyon might be on there.

Do you know what R-A events you're doing next year?

Shooting to run the BMW Compact in at least 2 of the MaxAttack! rounds, but unsure what those are at the moment.

Evo will be converted back to tarmac spec and won't see dirt until after PPIHC.

Not really. After all, you compared a country to a continent. Portugal is a country.

I don't agree LOL
USA is not a continent...
Portugal is one of the country of the EU... So if you want to be real fair then you compare a country to one states or what I did, the EU to the USA.
It just that simple

Just finished the in-car compilation of our first rally - International Rally New York 2011.

We finished 1st in Production AWD class, 2nd overall - feels good to put an evo on the podium!

WheelGap, Robevo, hopefully we'll see you guys on stage in 2012 . There's really not enough evos doing rally in the US.

Looking for some winter rallies since Winter Rally New York seems to have been cancelled for 2012. Has anyone here been to/competed at Rally Perce-Neige, or is familiar with the CARS rules?

I've spectated at Perce-neige a few times, though I doubt that's the kind of experience you're looking for

Here are the links for the rule book:

If I will not travel because of my job, we will be defenietly at both rally ny tarmac event. One in the spring and one in august. Other then that we will see what else will fit. I will also run at least one hill cimb. You should try that one too as a rally car. Cheap and great practice+ seat time.
Canadian rally... I am actually looking at it like a year now.

I've thought about trying to run rally NY next year. I guess I'd better start reading up on what I need to do that.

Congrats on the great finish! And those roads make Perryville look like a superhighway.

We're in Omaha so we'll probably for the time-being limit ourselves to hill climbs in Colorado and rallies in Minnesota and Missouri, all of which are about an 8 hour tow. Rally Minnesota looks fun, and the roads look fantastic so hopefully that will make it on the 2012 schedule.

i will help anything you need to know. You also do not need a major modification in your car, it will be on tarmac so you will be fine. More then in Mt Washington.
Only thing you will miss is you power, due to the 34 mm restrictor plate.. LOL
