Evo 8 BSP max tire size w/o fender mods?

I've got '05 MR w/Robispec KW Clubsports. Been running STU locally, but miss the R-compound grip. What's the widest V710 or A6 I can get away with without rolling the fenders? I tried searching this forum, but gave up after half an hour.

I ran 275 V710s in AStock and I only rubbed on the inner liner if I turned the wheel full lock. But that was on OEM struts, so if you're lowered I'm not sure if they will fit.

The 285/30/18 is the tire of choice for BSP. Since you don't want to touch fenders (or quarter panels), you'll have to go down in size. For hoosier, that's a 255/35/18 or a 255/40/17. If you want a kumho, you'll have to go down to 245 width.

EDIT: it looks like the 255/17 is actually a 45 series tire -- too tall.

The 275s from both companies are too tall.

Thanks, guys. I've got no national aspirations and there's no BSP competition locally, so I'm just looking to have some fun. I might be able to swing for a set of Hoosiers, but new wheels aren't in the budget. Looks my choices are 245/40R17 V710s for $173, A6s for $253, BFG R1s for $222 (are they any good?) or 255/40ZR17 R1s for $231. I'm leaning toward the V710s.

How do u like ur clubsports? I'm runnin STU and ditched my megan streets. I did well with them but want to see how well I can really do with more stability. I love the Hoosiers and A6s. Haven't driven on other R comps. They're all grippy to me! Ha.

I'm thinkin abt BSP too, just so I can turn up the boost and have more fun with the car!

Love the CLubsports. Very civil for daily driving and a big improvement in handling over the stock Bilsteins.
