The Evo is dead.
The Evo is dead.
First, this report is contrary to an earlier one saying the EVO is still a go and comments by the Mitsu Rep, namely that Galant, Eclipse and one of their SUV is gone but Evo is still alive.
Second, even if this is false, in the article it suggests that the current EVO gasoline engine maybe replaced with a hybrid drive/diesel as next engine...so, current EVO if , in fact, it is terminated will be replaced by another gen...we shall just have to wait and see...that said, it makes no business sence to throw out its premier showcase vehicle...in the USA Mitsu has always followed Suby and there has been no hints/comments or suggestions that they are going to discontinue the STI or WRX in favor of more "green" approaches in future offerings...in short, I think this BS.

if you read the source article, you'll get a better understanding of whats going on. there's a lot of speculation but nothing is set in stone. imo, they are likely to kill off the evo
