If you watch my 2010 runoffs video that AMS put together, you can see me going in to Canada Corner at Road America at exactly 140mph and when I went for the brakes I had zero pedal, clunk right to the floor. I got about two pumps of the brake in which gave me back maybe 20 percent of my braking back and downshifted twice(you can hear in the video), then turned the wheel hard to the right to scrub more speed near the end. Some times it works out and some times it doesnt. With steering, down shifting and pumping brakes I ran out of hands to pull the E brake, Which I think would help as long as you kept her nice and straight before pulling it.

I really thought the brake pedal was going to come back to me. Should have done the survival downshift.

ususally the best way as we always try , not always works though. we just spin the car at the very last moment and hoping the best. Always better to hit something with a rear. Cheaper repair (if ends up repairable ) the rear.
Not to being smart , because after the incident everybody is smart , i wreck enough cars too I am just saying. Down sifht ebrake try to keep it straight and the "last moment " spin it. That is the idea. sometimes even works in one lane ****ty roads too.
But not at 140 Mph . We usually hit 120 max.

Hey, you're already down, no use in kicking yourself now. GL with the rebuild, can't wait to see results here in a few months.
