Spin out at Autobahn Country Club South

Earlier this month have done a High Speed AutoX event at Autobahn Country Club South in Joliet. I have just broken in the motor after a rebuilt and needed to hit the track at least once this season.

Unfortunately, i didn't have too much luck in the morning. I have made a rookie mistake and lifted while going through the turn. Cold tires and track didn't help any bit....

Here is the result. It did not stop me from finishing the day. The only thing i had to do was clean the wheel from all the debris and i was back out for my next session.

I was there that day driving the brown evo. The track was definitely squirrely until the tires warmed up!

That corner has claimed a lot of cars over the past several years. Glad to hear the damage was minor. Could have been much worse.

Is is scary on a bike? some parts of the track seem like it would be crazy bumpy for a bike

Yes it has. I've seen several cars spin there and hit the tire wall on the left; the worse impacts are when people over-correct and nail the rightside!

They don't call it 'Million Dollar Corner' for nothing...

I only rode on the north track. First time I was a little scared. But after I got the hang of it it was very fun. The first time I scraped my knee on the ground also scared me a bit until I realized what happen. After that the streets got boring
