Front / Back Suspension Height Difference
Front / Back Suspension Height Difference
I know that the front of the evos sit a little higher then the rear. Is there a specific guideline or ratio for the height difference? I am redoing my suspension and just want to make sure that my height adjustment from Front to Back is correct.
Any guidance is appreciated.

Call it a rake. It is important for handling. Different hight front rear or equal is important for a race - set up and the surface you are attempt to run. It should be a part of tge wheel aligment you get or you do.
Its a bit of an illusion. The front fender gap gives the appearance the front sits higher, but its not.

My CW:

I shoot for the front left/right to be equal more than a 50/50 cross weight.

The only thing I think I really learned about setting up an Evo this year, is if you're going to do anything to the diffs, do that first, and then set up the suspension. I just did the OEM re-arrange and it had a really profound affect on the car, to the point where I feel like I have to reevaluate a lot of the suspension choices and see if they still make sense.
IMO... I set the instant center of the fronts where I feel is optimal based on kinematics, because it's the grip limited end of the car. After I set the fronts; I adjust my rear roll center to achieve the desired "flick-ability."
I need a custom set of uprights and then I'll get the front end super low....and bring the back end with it, bringing my CG instantly lower.

I actually have used a similar strategy for my ride height. I set the front based on suspension geometry and then messed with the rear to get the feel I wanted. Going to have to redo this spring after the whiteline roll center kit goes in, but will start at last years end point.
