Hopefully that's my only issue. I'm always worried whatever popped it will creep up again ya know.

All I know is the car was in 100% working order when I dropped it off - and when I left it has electrical issues. I guess 'stuff' happens when there's wiring and whatnot but to me it's pretty obvious where the fault lies.

Friday Schedule - BUSY!
So Friday is going to be hectic to say the least. Below is an outline of my schedule. Taking the car to Boostin Performance to fix the fuse issue and also replace a driveline belt that is oddly showing some wear. Then it's 1hr to the track to prep for a 3hr Enduro that I'm sharing with a newfound friend in his brand-spanking new Porsche 944. This build is new enough that it's still AT the shop as I write this! So the 15min warmup will be it's first shakedown ever; wish us luck! I've got the 2nd half of the race; a 1.5hr stint around Autobahn's full 3.56 mile course. Terrific course and facility and the full track will be very nice to run for a change. Then it's back to Boostin to pick up the car, bring it back to the track for the night, and then to the hotel (I'm not camping in 30 degree weather).
9:00am - Leave Home for Boostin Performance - Addison, IL
12:30pm- Arrive Boostin & unload
1:30pm - Find some food and head for Autobahn - Joliet, IL
3:00pm - Arrive @ Autobahn - Test fitment in Porsche 944
3:30pm - Enduro Meeting
4:00pm - Pit Lane Setup for Enduro
4:15pm - Warmup for Enduro (Co-Driver to shake-down)
4:30pm - Enduro start
- 4:30-6:00 - Co-drivers's stint
- 6:00-7:30 - Nathan's stint till end of race
7:30pm - Enduro complete
7:45pm - Enduro Awards / Leave Autobahn for Boostin Performance - Addison, IL to pick up Evo
8:20pm - Arrive Boostin
8:45pm - Leave Boostin
9:30pm - Drop off Evo at Autobahn for the night - Joliet, IL
10:00pm - Arrive hotel.

The transition between the tracks actually has a significant bump/rise on the inside that you need to avoid. After that, it's a downhill braking zone with a wall of those guardrails staring straight at you - then the N course.
Likewise, the transition from the N to the S is a bit weird since there's 2 sets of braking zones.

Got the car fixed this afternoon at Boostin Performance! Fuse.
Dumped off the car about 8pm back at the track. Seems all good...

I did not get to run the Enduro yesterday; sadly.
My co-driver - and the car owner - took the first stint, which was going to be the first 1.5 hrs of the race. He was doing just fine, after about 15min into the race he reached for 4th gear and got nothing but smoke! I was actually back at my truck getting all my racegear on and seen the smoke!
By the time I got back to the grid in my race attire, they were bringing the car in 'on the hook'. Engine gone. So my stint never happened. But, I was able to take off earlier than planned to go and get my Evo which was about 1 hour away @ Boostin Performance. So that helped at least.

It's good to see Buschur getting into road racing and supporting road racers. It's good for the overall EVO community. The more shops and tuners that get to see just how hard it is on an entire car, from the fuel system to brakes to cooling . . . the more great products and services will be offered to the EVO racing community around the country.
Way to represent, Nathan.

It was a crazy day; starting with Friday evening and my co-driver blowing the engine on his brand new Porsche Spec944 build after about 15min!
So Saturday and the Evo....
I went out for practice and street tires as I did not have time to change tires as we were first up! I tossed down a very eventul and sideways 1:38x on a cold green track in about 50 degree weather on 5yr old Dunlops. lol. It was fun; and the car ran for the first time since the cage!
Qualifying was about 2 hours later. On my 1st hotlap I seen the debris flag at T6 - and quickly found the insanely huge OIL SPILL directly on-line from T6 through T10 when I actually passed said spiller on the backstraight still limping the car around. About 5 awesome oil-soaked drifts later for myself, about 6 offs witnessed from other cars and 1 car sitting a full 180 degrees backwards track-center - and just 3 laps - they tossed checker to end quals early. I had just a 1:40x.
I ended up gridded 11th in the first wave. I was running ST2; claiming about 100 lbs lower then I could get to as my car isn't built or setup for ST2 but since there were 8 entries, I wanted to play together!
The start was odd. I ended up beside a fellow rookie that ran TTA with me last year so there was some comfort there. We actually took the green when I was in 4th gear (yes above 90mph)... which is just odd as it should be like 40mph. I was side-by-side with said Vette for about the first 4 turns including some sideways action and him taking the gators to give me room! The next turn I backed off a hair (the car was loose on colder tires) and I tucked in behind him and the leaders. About 4 laps later the 4-5 leaders were pulling away from us but we were having out own race. About this time my 245 R6's were starting to give up a little grip and the Vette running 315 A6's was able to distance himself some. The next lap my pedal starting getting longer and I was doing some LFB pumping on the straights. The next lap when I was 3-wide down the backstraight passing a slower GTS car and letting a faster GTS car past I reached for the brakes and the pedal went to the floor. Checking my data I left the track at 85mph.
Pumping the brakes feverishly, steering strategically and downshifting accordingly I was able to drift it through the grass & weeds to an eventual stop. I kept the revs up, got the car turned around and back to the track safely and into the pits to avoid a tow.
The brakes - 100% stock Brembo's - have always been a bit of an issue with this car and Autobahn S can be a difficult track. Most of the guys racing have upgraded to a BBK and that's ideally when I would do. But, that's not the plan as I have a TTA/PTA build and a BBK is a 2pt upgrade, not to mention the price. So we'll see what the longterm fix is....

On the upside...
The Buschur tune felt good. And the ACD-Tuning (on Map #2) definitely kept the rear end loose. Actually looser than I like (which takes a lot) - but the combination of running a 245 R6 vs a 255 A6 last time I was at Autobahn could figure in as well.
