Bad Carrier Bearing?

I wanted to post this in hear rather than out with the general public in the drivetrain sub-forum. I have been getting more and more vibration during my daily commute over the last year. It is very noticable when getting on the brakes at 70+mph as the steering wheel shakes a good amount (no vibration in pedal). I also get a little more pronounce rumble during decel from 2800 to 2200 rpms. First I had thought it was just the outer tie rod ends as the boots were torn and there was a lot of play. Replaced those 2 weeks ago and it helped some. Now after further inspection there is a lot of play in the suspension bushings, so I will be relpacing those shortly.

I also think the rear carrier bearing has an excessive amount of play in it. Here is a video monkeying with it (ignore my neighbors across the street, didn't realize the mic would pick them up as well as it did). Just wanted to get some thoughts before I spent anymore money.

I'm noticing an increase in vibration/grinding on decel. Thinking it maybe the same issue you have.

Anyone else with thoughts? I guess I shall repost this in the drivetrain section.

I jacked my car up today and I can move the drive shaft about 1/4 in. I don't have any shaking of the steering in my case, just the decel noise. Hope that helps

I dont know about the Evo, but when I have had those go bad on other cars it was movement in the bearing while twisting the drive shaft. So it was play side to side as opposed to pushing the bearing as you were in the video.. not saying thats wrong , but you asked and thats whats worked for me in the past.
