Evo IX ACD Tuning

Question for all you track members out there, have any of you had your Evo IX's ACD tuned for the track?! From what I hear and read this is a amazing and relatively cheap handling mod. Just looking to get some real world feedback from some members on here. ACD-Tuning is the company I was reading about and considering using for the "Track" tune that they offer. Here is their website: http://www.acd-tuning.com/evo-7-9.html
Let me know what you all think

I didn't really feel a need for it when I ran street compounds, but when I went to slicks I could almost cry on how hard it was to get the car to rotate. Working with a local shop in my area we've been messing with the ACD tuning data and it's amazing how much difference it made. With the settings I last ran, I'd be a bit scared on street tires having too much oversteer, but running 265 R compounds, I absolutely love it! It really helps with the ability to get on the gas sooner accellerating out of the Apex.

That's awesome dude, thank you for the input. Like I said I read about it earlier and it seemed like a cheap, yet effective mod to improve the handling. Thanks again

Acd tune is good, but if you have a bit more to spend, get a Ralliart acd ecu. Made for racing not for a street car. Pnp by the way.
if you have more to spare get a proper ecu set up.
Each step will give you more and the proper ecu set up is the real deal in the Evo.

acd tuning is also tricky. Different drivers usually likes different tunes. Very simple reason: different driving style different cars set ups etc...

with a acd ecu tune. You will get probably a bit better tune then a stock. But really for you will be untested...

with a ralliart you will get a well tested acd tune but tailored for everyone. So its a medium level category.

The proper ecu set up, you will also get a medium set up maps but better and more detailed as a Ralliart, a lot faster ecu e with more space in them for maps, a lot more customizable, has more maps, etc. Also that is 100% customizable for your car and for your driving style.

But the main thing is in all cases, who will tune them... that is why I said it for you, if you do not know a real race tuner with a good history(no drag race application here) the best for you would
Be a ralliart if you dont want to spend alot .

I have been working with Matt at ACD-tuning on a new project with the acd module. I'll let him do most of the technical talking about it, but basically he has figured out how to load 6 maps onto the stock module, which is pretty cool because it allowed him to leave all 3 stock maps, and then load three different tuned maps. He loaded his three basic tuned maps onto mine, each progressively getting more and more aggressive. I tested it at my last track day at Atlanta Motorsports Park, which is a relatively slow track (only one straightaway) but technical with alot of varying turns, some sweepers. I have to say I was very impressed by how the car responded. I am still on the stock diff and on 255/40/17 RS-3 tires. The midlevel map was perfect for me, really allowed me to get on the throttle sooner in the tight stuff, and i was able to rotate the car in the sweepers better, to help combat some of the push these cars are prone to. I would say, for the money, acd-tuning is definitely worth a hard look.
