Crowdsourced NASA TT2 Evo Build
noooo its not past street car. bolt ons and ohlins man, totally driveable every day! it just spends tons of time in the garage because im afraid to put miles on it LOL...and a convertible is really quite fun this time of year.
IX GSR SE here as well, amazing starting point.

If I was going to start out with just the track in mind, I would get the newest RS I could find and go from there.

So though I am building this right from the beginning, it doesn't necessarily have to be an all-out race car. I would just be doing time trials, and I would love for it to be street drivable, if possible, but I don't know where the compromises of safety and streetable meet in the middle. I just know (or feel) my car was much too fast to be on track without more serious safety equipment.
e-kobz, why is a 2004 RS good in this case? Does it have the mechanical advantages of an O5, or does it have any mechanical disadvantages to be worried about? I imagine one advantage would be cost.

I'm actually with Jerdietzel or however it is spelled. Would be so much more cost effective to pick up one that has been built, DEPENDING on the level of speed and competition you're going after.

I'm open to it, but I missed out on Scorke's. Don't know how many properly-built Evos are out there for sale, but I'd be fine with going that route.
I don't want to sell mine necessarily, but I did get an offer last night for $27k. Cash is still king!
You missed out on my car by 1 week. It was for sale for 8 months and i pretty much gave it away. A street legal racecar. If it happens to fall thru i will let you know. Might want to ask Andy S if he is interested in selling his. There are cars taht show up more often then you think. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sa...rally-car.html
Just since I'm evo curious this weekend (
) are you looking for a race car that you can drive on the street (like Jerdeitzel's car) or a street car you can drive on the track (something more similar to my car, though I don't have a cage or anything)?

Boltz, I'd say the former. I don't need this car for any real world purpose, but I would prefer it not to be just a trailer queen. I'd love it if I can drive it around legally and safely, but I don't know hot that works with a cage and a seat with a head cushion (wraparound).

though I know it'd go to a good home.Sorry to get this OT. Lets get this back on track!
also i guess i can throw my hat in the ring too...i will always consider selling my car if a reasonable offer is made
. im somewhat local to you also.
