Whoa, I remember seeing your car at Fedex (I think).

The CBRD car is pretty insane. I think if nothing else, you could buy it, sell the super-expensive stuff (suspension, aero, etc), buy less expensive but still nice stuff, and have a pretty sweet car for a pretty reasonable price.

for what its worth, i think buying an RS is a mistake. at our level, i have never seen anyone brakeat or near the limit consistently enough to justify no ABS. i HAVE seen people flat spot perfectly fine tires though because they didnt have ABS.

Agreed... the Evo ABS is good and unintrusive. If its coming on, you really need it, and I've also seen people flat spot tires without it. I know honda-guy locked up in front of me into Turn 1 at Thunderbolt last year and this year he put ABS in his car.

Warrtalon, welcome back.

There was a guy named Joe selling his autocross Evo 9 MR SE. It won NC State championships and has a wide body kit. EvoJoeRacing. He was asking $26k a couple months back, but he was open to offers.

Thanks, jerdeitzel. I have a bead on two caged Evos with both deals pretty much ready to go. I will likely have one purchased or at least committed by the end of the week.

Struck a deal for my "new" Evo...ready to hit the track day 1. Will be fun to unveil after I get it in my possession and change it up a little.

I haven't set up anything yet. I'll think about using my blog or an FB page. I'll post it back here if I do that.

And then honestly, you will still realize that the EVO is not a great race car. Buy a vette, or even a used Porsche cup car!

Just my opinion. Having just sold my car, if i do it again i will go a much different route.
I have the opposite opinion as JD. I believe the EVO makes the best TT/TA car out there. For me, it has to be AWD, so that eliminates most Porsche, Viper, Vette, etc. If I were to do it all over again I would build an 04RS. Or start with a shell and go the non-acd route.
