In jefferson's case that's a road with mailboxes, may as well call it a tarmac rally stage lol. But on some of the others at least they have 50+ feet of grass before the tires/trees and not a crete wall. But at Dom it seems like there are inches and a wall so I'm wondering wth they were thinking.

yeah some of the walls at Dominion are like jersey barriers on a street course.

On the plus side, I thought Dominion was fun to drive, in a similar way to the Shenandoah Circuit (which is also full of walls). I wasn't too worried about spinning into a wall, but there is very little margin for error if your brakes go away or you encounter fluid on the track, etc.

i pumped up to TT2 this past weekend because there wasn't enough people in TT3. took out about 150 lbs of ballast and put in my kill mode map, which is about 370 whp dyno jet (stock long block and stock turbo on e85). ran my fastest time to date at Summit Point, 1:16.8. my TT3 record is 1:18.2

Whats your final drive and 5th gear setup? Are you topped out at 142ish?

stock evo 9 5th gear and final drive. running 255/35/18 hoosier, so smaller diameter than 255/35/18. 24.8" vs 25.5 tire diameter. i think i've hit 250 mph on oval track before hitting the rev limit in 5th.

250, wow

I wonder where I'll be with a JDM 5th gear and OE final drive. 18" wheels and 35 profile tire. I was hoping for 150 at least for tracks like road America here in the Midwest.

Found my answer, but is rated on OE wheel/tire size.

http://www.jackstransmissions.com/pa...on-gear-ratios

The following speeds are based on an OEM tire diameter of 25.5
JDM 5th 152mph @ 7500 RPM

Per a quick search I guess thats about right for my current wheel/tire combo.
275/35R18 = 25.6x10.8R18

So...a 255/35/18 is smaller then a....255/35/18....AND your plad-spec final drive hits harder then NASCAR or INDYCAR w00t w00t! Must be the trick dive planes. Price shipped?

tock tire isn't 25.5, 235/45r17 is more like 25.25-25.3. Your car will do 154mph at 7600rpm.
