17x9.5 +18 for track?
17x9.5 +18 for track?
There's a set of 17x9.5 +18 RPF1's for sale on here, and I've been scouting for black RPF1's used for a bit. I read most people do +38 with a spacer, but can't find much on here in regards to this particular size.
I currently just run Bilsteins with swift springs, so just wondering if anyone has any feedback on this size. My car is essentially for HPDE's at this point.
thanks!

In the link you posted he says he does not need to use spacers and does not need to roll rear fenders.
Here is a quote off another thread, "the 17x9.5 +18 will fit the front perfectly. The rears will be another story. Trust me, me and a friend have run this exact setup, both lowered Works springs as well as Swifts. Only problem is the slight rubbing of the inner fender liner at full lock. Ppl running the +38 with 20mm spacer is the same as running +18."

Scroll through it to find what other had to do to make them fit.

The front will clear the brembos fine but you are going to have fitment issues with your rear quarters.
As such the popular size is +38 as throwing on extended studs and a 20mm spacer is far less work than whats required to fit the lower offset wheel in the rear.

17 x 9.5 + 38 ...like heel2toe said....
Also quoted from the previous link I posted...."The easiest method to use this wheel is to use a +38. A 20mm spacer is needed up from but that is it. No fender mods and you can easily run a 255 tire or a 275 with light rear fender work."

Why not use wheels that fit over the brakes with stock-ish offset, about 28-38mm?
Since ou are starting clean, do the best.
I really like how fluid and nice the steering feels when wheels are properly offset.
And when they are not, there is a "feel" to it that is not as pure.
Which is why I highly recommend you avoid even spacers..unless its some sort of imperative must.

I currently have RPF1 17x9.5+18 mounted with Nitto NT05 255/40/17 lowered on JIC-Magic coils with about a finger gap up front and 2 finger gap in the rear (if that). I rolled my rear fenders and fitment is fine so far. I'm about to get an alignment within the next couple of days.
The front fits freaking perfect, absolutely flush with no signs of rubbing tghe fenders, although depending on your drop and spring stiffness you will rub a small part of the plastic fender lining. the rears don't rub for me at all.

With 17x9.5 +38, 245/40R17 Rivals, -1.5 degrees of camber in the rear, and the inner lip rolled flat-ish (no pulling) I don't see how I could possibly move the wheel out another 20mm and not make all sorts of contact.
