if you only buy tires once a season, you aint doing enough track days.
well we both know i dont do enough. medical field isnt proving as racing friendly as i ever hoped.

i wish i could find more first hand experiences with the rc1. i had also heard they last a little longer than the nt01's, but im interested mostly in if they give any communication before breakaway like the nt01's do. i think i saw a vid of an s2k once that showed they did but i cant find it again.

in my typical fashion im trying to be as safe as possible about going up to r comps...but thats also the mentality that keeps me slow

So Yoko backed off to min 7 participants but Hoho kept what they had last year, 2 tires for 5 cars. Least we didn't loose them Looks like BFG is dragging their feet as usual.

looks like NARRA is making hoosier a spec tire for TT, but not offering contingency per event. maybe just a package deal at the end of the season. wth, spec tire and no contingency. looks like i'll be doing more two nasa region full time this instead of one nasa region and narra.

LoL. Yes please buy the expensive stuff and run every event just because it's fun! Then at the end we'll reward you, or not, because we reserve the right to change our minds all the time.

New to this part of the forums. But i picked up some NT-01 for my evo. I usually just do HPDE events nothing timed. But i havent tracked the evo all that much i used to track my s2k all the time on Falken Azenis RT 615 and thos tires were awesome they just would wear fairly quickly. So i stepped it up to a dedicated track tire now.

You'll like the NT01's. I think for people on the fence between NT's and RC's it'll boil down to if you drive or trailer your car to the track. As the NT01's will be...granted slightly...safer in that endeavor where the RC's have no usable groves.

Always good to have spares, but technically on NT01's you won't notice, they wouldn't get hot enough and they only get faster as they wear down. Hoosiers are another story lol.

ehh ill prolly still just take the extra 20 minutes to swap all the tires around. Rather be safe then sorry and pick up a nail or something stupid on the way to the track and ruin my day.

25 miles is not a long drive on street with NT01 at all. if you have zero toe all around, there shouldn't be any wear. maybe swap tires at your house before and bring the street tires with you to track in case you have a flat. save you time from having to swap tires at the track in the morning.

I drove 80 + miles to and from the track and still got 6 events out of my NT01's. I plan to try the RC1's now after getting a few crap sets of Hoosier take offs.
