Alister McRae retired today. He'd been having problems all weekend after screwing up a jump on day 1. Paasonen finished a respectable 8th, just 2 spots out of the points. You can only have 2 drivers count towards Manafacturers points, and unfortunately, I believe had Delecour and McRae counting towards them so they didn't get any.

Overall I think this car is much better than the old one....but it was painfully obvious that it cant hang with the 206 (nobody can). And probably not the Focus/Impreza's because they have better drivers.

Sadly, I don't see (or Subaru, Hyundai, Ford, et al for that matter) being truly competitive with the 206s this year. Nothing against them, but Allister McRae and Delecour can't match with the some of the other drivers.

Unfortunately (for us), will probably have to scrap the Evo platform and start from scratch to get back on top. The only other way for to get back in the winner's circle would be for FIA to reinstate the homogolation rule.
