Any further updates/findings since running with it for a while? I'm getting ready to send mine to racefab in the next few weeks. Will likely go with the Tomei kit as well.

Not really, pretty basic part that does the one job it's intended to do We're rebuilding the current block this winter so nothing until March likely.

Just sent mine in last week. Used the USPS. $86 from Chicago with 200 insurance included. Was told 6 - 10 day delivery.

And thus, the ever wait for performance parts begins.

Anyone have Rob weld up a bung for an oil temp sensor? Thinking STRI DSD series but the oil temp is in C. I'd prefer F.

Anyway any thoughts on the bung? I need to know what size to ask him to weld.

If you do 3/8 NPT, you'll be fine. You'll either be able to find a sensor in 3/8 npt, or buy reducers for a smaller sensor. But you can't make an 1/8 or 1/4 npt bung bigger

We put mine right on top of the new sump, near the drain plug. I'm not 100% sure it's in the oil the whole time ( if it is, it takes FOREVER to come up to temp) while idling or steady-state driving. with 7quarts, it should LOL. My next one will be down, next to the drain plug. I got the bung online so they are readily avail. I see no reason RaceFab couldn't hook that up. We do it for free (it doesn't take that long). I'm sure they will too.
My stock gauge was in Celsius. Hated it LOL

1/8 NPT or 3/8 NPT are fine. He may also have M10 or M12 options but most of the sensors you'll find here in the states come 1/8 npt.

That's my Autometer sensors size, in case anyone needs to know (**edit I think. Maybe LOL) And welding that in is 1,000,000X easier than finding the fitting that fits in the oil filter housing and converts to 1/4NPT. My lord, it took me forever and cost me like $35

Don't over torque the brass though.

Just received my pan from RaceFab. Build quality is nice. 2 week turn around is pretty good I think.

We just got an extra oil drain plug drilled it out and tapped it for the sensor. Easy, no adapter needed, always in the oil.
