Going that route as well by next track season. Anyone else tried that to see if that vent helps any?
that's a really good idea! i'm always wondering where the air goes that tries to pass through the cooler, especially since my fender liners are trashed from my tires LOL. so i can only imagine how turbulent air is in there. hm.

i'll Google where to buy them. has anyone found them at a decent price? or i guess i could make something like that. does it have a duct from the back of the element to the bumper?

CP_Racing had given me the basic info. The part number is MR603498 and you can see from the part explosion how it was attached on the older cars. He said you cut into the bumper:

Explosion (note number is somehow different here!):

The VI TME has an even more aggressive option. My plan is to just call the UK mitsubishi dealership that I have ordered from in the past. and see if they can get it for me. When I search I'm mainly seeing it on sites from eastern europe which I'm not familiar ordering from. Failing that, when I go home at xmas I'll see if I can just pick one up from one of the VI guys there.

CP_Racing also pointed me to carbon fiber ones from here:

i found a couple UK places that carry them. i guess no way to get anything local. care to share if you decide on a place to order from? i can see this being VERY useful. i could make my own, probably out of fiber glass.... but it would look much nicer if i buy the right part.

Yeah I will get serious about looking for the part in late September so I can order in October. Will let you know once I've found some place. This is the place I've used in the past:

http://www.diamondautopartsshop.co.uk/

They ship to the US with registered mail and aren't too expensive shipping wise. Haven't emailed them or anything yet though.

I don't have any temps but I do log pressure.

Just added an accusump system. I'm seeing improvements but still not where I want things to be.

Stock pan still, only other oil mod is the Kiggly HLA.

I used to see drops into the 20psi range.

so now 30psi is the lowest, from the looks of it? would you say the accusump was worth it? i have a Buschur modified pan (cheap and i figure better than nothing LOL) and the Kiggly as well. i still have balance shafts, if that matters.

RA with the long carousel is probably the worst case scenario for our cars. I think so far it is worth it. I want to add the electronic valve with 55psi switch which should help increase the efficiency of this.

Andy,

Do you have your balance shafts removed? Just this year I started to run English Racing Underdrive Oil Pump Gear. I'll need to compare and post up my data from Blackhawk farms. (only place where I have good data)

My oil mods:
-English racing Underdrive Oil Pump Gear
-Cosworth Crank Scraper
-Kiggly HLA
- Oil is over filled with 5 quarts

For the rear balance shaft, can't one just leave it intact and not run a belt to it?

Looking at the logs for the first time I had the Traqmate before the underdrive oil gear. Now I have RacePak.

The only difference beside the oil pump gear, I ran thicker 20W-50 with the Traqmate and with the underdrive gear I run 2Q of 20W-50 and 3Q of 10W-30...

Don't ask
